The size of your online social networks affects your ultimate social media reach and marketing effectiveness. As explained in a previous post, your network size is one of three key levers which impact your social media prospecting effectiveness, along with content quality and posting frequency. When your Twitter followers, Facebook friends, Facebook Page followers or Linkedin connections share, like or comment on what you post, you and your post becomes visible to people in their networks. How large is your social network in Twitter, Facebook, Facebook Page and Linkedin? Here’re some social networking statistics on the number of friends, followers, and connections for individual professionals in wealth management, insurance, accounting, & real estate. Data is based on 20,000+ professionals (as of Aug 2014) from InvestmentPal’s Linkedin Group, Facebook Page, Twitter, Pinterest & Google+ accounts.

Nice work here and great info. It is especially nice to see stats targeted to individual professionals and not teams or groups! Thanks for the information?

Thanks for the feedback, Aaron. Great to know that you find these benchmark statistics useful.
Do note that while these statistics are about the individual professional’s social media account/page, some of these professionals may be part of larger firms and teams (which will have their firm-level and team-level Twitter/Facebook pages, that are not included in this statistical computation).
